On August 24, 2019 i-VISTA “China Telecom 5G Cup” Autonomous Vehicle Grand Challenge was grandly opened at Baiyun Lake Park in Liangjiang New District, Chongqing. In this Challenge, there are 40 professional teams from OEMs, Science and Technology Companies, Universities and R&D Institutes, and 36 individual consumers from the national audition. More than 100 representatives from industry organizations, enterprises, media and nearly a thousand audience participated. The big event received unprecedented attention from the industry and the whole society. It has thus become the world's first large-scale ADAS competitive platform.

This year's i-VISTA "China Telecom 5G Cup" self-driving car challenge has a total of four major events, namely the ADAS driving assistance system challenge, urban traffic scene challenge, innovation application challenge and commercialization challenge.

4active products such as 4active C2, 4active PA, and 4active SB system were the official specified test equipments of the Challenge.

The ADAS  Challenge, is the first large-scale ADAS competition platform in te world, which is divided into AEB and APS competitions. AEB challenge sets two scenarios,the target vehicle stationary (also known as  collision vehicle avoidance) and pedestrian crossing (also known as pedestrian ghost probe) ,pedestrian crossing using the  4active PA (Adult/Child).

All the scenarios come from the "i-VISTA China Intelligent vehicle Index" issued by CAERI, which can fully represent the characteristics of road traffic in China.

After the ADAS (AEB/APS) Challenge, which assesses the single technical ability of vehicles on August 24, the second competition of the i-VISTA "China Telecom 5G Cup"automated driving Challenge, the Automated Driving on Urban Traffic scenario Challenge, was held at Lijia Park CAERI on August 25.

In the urban traffic scenario challenge, as shown in the following figure, our 4active C2 was used in scenario 6 (obstacle identification and response); SB system and Dummywere applied in scenario 7 (let pedestrian go first when turn right) and scenario 8 (avoiding pedestrian).

A total of 14 scenarios were set up in the Innovation Application Challenge held on August 26, and the most bright spots were the two innovations in the competition, such as picking up people on the way in scenario 5, giving way to ambulance in scenario 9, the scenarios are more  in line with the actual situation. As shown in the following figure, the SB system and dummies in scenario 5 and scenario 6, which tested the real-time adaptability of automated vehicles.
